- An impression (mould) of your teeth will be taken using special dental putty
- A temporary crown will be cemented onto the prepared tooth while your permanent crown is being fabricated (2-3 weeks)
- Local anaesthetic may be needed to numb the tooth and surrounding gum
- The temporary crown will be removed, and the tooth will be cleaned
- Your dentist will try in the new crown, ensuring a correct fit and satisfactory appearance
- Once confirmed, the crown will be permanently cemented into place, with minor bite adjustments as needed
